1658 BECKWITH Nicholas of Gaughey, yeoman (Wells legatee and Wells executor) 11 May pp.35v-36v (p.36r) ... First I give and bequeath unto William Wels my sonne in law three score and two ewes and lambs and one Cupp now in his owne possession for and in consideration of all his part of sheep which we have joyntly together Item I give and bequeath unto Wilfrid Day and William Wels my sonnes in law my house land and farme in Kirkby Malzeard equally to be divided betwixt them Item I give and bequeath unto my said sonnes Wilfrid and William all the rest of my sheep equally to be divided betwixt them they paying equally the rent for the grounde which I now farm Item I give and bequeath unto my son William Wels one Bay Mare... (p.36v) ... Item my will and minde is that my said sonnes Wilfrid and William doe equally betwixt them satisfy Anne Wood my Grandchilde for all her sheep which I have in keeping for her... ... And that my said two sonnes Wilfrid and William doe out of the lettings to them hereby bequeathed paye and discharge one Bond wherein I stand bound together with my son William Wels to Thomas Oaster of Farnham in the said County Stapler in the summe of one hundred poundes Conditioned for the payment of fifty poundes All the rest of my goodes chattels and credits unbequeathed after my debts legacyes and funeral expences discharged I give and bequeath unto Wilfrid Day and William Wels my sonnes in lawe whome I make joynt Executours of this my last will and testament
