Maj. John Belfield [2450.1.3.1.8.1] (1751-1792) married Mary Beckwith 5 December (bond) 1785. The bride was a daughter of Sir Jonathon Beckwith and Rebecca Barnes. They had one child. Sir Beckwith was very wealth, having owned fifty-three slaves in 1783.
